Web Content Management
What is Web Content Management? Web Content Management is the process of creating, editing, storing, organising and publishing content on the web. Content may take the form of text, such as documents, multimedia files, such as audio or video files, or any other file type.
Why Content Management? A Content Management System lets you give control of your website content to your business experts, instead of being dependant on your technical team or IT webmaster. This ensures fast, consistent, accurate and efficient publication of your website content

Site Manager
Who can edit the content? Content management is a collaborative process and often consists of the following basic roles and responsibilities:
- Content author - responsible for creating and editing content.
- Editor - responsible for tuning the content message and the style of delivery.
- Publisher - responsible for releasing the content for use.
- Administrator - responsible for managing access permissions to folders and files, usually accomplished by assigning access rights to user groups or roles. Administrators may also assist and support users in various ways.
- Consumer, viewer or guest- the person who reads or otherwise takes in content after it is published or shared.
Can I restrict author access to specific sections of my website? Yes, authoring is controlled by access permissions and roles. You can restrict an author to only be able to edit a certain area. For example, you might only want to enable you HR Manager to edit job vacancies.
